Just today I found quite a long article on how to gain access to your WordPress admin area if you have lost your password. I did some ‘googling’ and quickly found a further 14 articles all on the same topic. I visited a forum I normally frequent and there I also found a link to yet another article on this same topic.

There are more and more WordPress themes, both free and premium, available out there these days. This is a good thing. For a while I have been doing research on numerous themes to try and determine the trends which I should include in the theme I am currently planning.

Just recently there has been a lot of talk about spam, more specifically comment spam, on this site. This came about because I asked my readers for advice on curbing the high volumes of comment spam I have been receiving of late. I received a lot of advice and have taken various steps which seem to be having a positive effect on the amount of spam received.

I have never been too interested in PageRank nor SEO in general. If I have to be honest, my lack of interest stems from me not knowing too much about either of these topics.
Just recently I have found quite a few articles all about the so-called PageRank leakage problem. From what I can figure out this problem refers to the fact that some folk feel that too many outbound links on your site could actually have a negative influence on your PageRank. In short, the outbound links somehow cancel out the inbound links.

A page that is often overlooked in many WordPress themes is the page that is called when an error 404 occurs. If your theme does not make special provision for this page WordPress will automatically make use of the relevant page from the Default theme should it become necessary. This in itself also has all sorts of problems coupled to it.
