10 things I look for in a forum

18th November 2008 by Lyndi | 19 Comments

Many suggest that forums are something that belong to the past. Personally I disagree. In my opinion, there is still a place for good forums as a place to interact with others, to make friends, to receive support should you need it, and also to offer support to others. The problem with forums these days is that it is not easy to find the good ones.

PageRank Leakage - fact or fiction?

20th September 2008 by Lyndi | 20 Comments

I have never been too interested in PageRank nor SEO in general. If I have to be honest, my lack of interest stems from me not knowing too much about either of these topics.

Just recently I have found quite a few articles all about the so-called PageRank leakage problem. Four Things

15th July 2008 by sailor | 8 Comments

I do not often publish social fun things on this site, I am normally too busy ranting about some or other accessibility issue. I do however enjoy digging around other blogs finding out whatever I can about the other bloggers whose sites I frequent. I suppose the old saying ‘what is good for the goose is good for the gander’ is true so I can break my own rules and do something just for the fun of it.

Colleen at Hot Dorkage tagged me with this meme, so here goes, four things in various categories I know about myself:

Firefox in your pocket

27th June 2008 by sailor | 4 Comments

I normally do not recommend software to anyone but today I am going to make an exception. The title and the graphic has already given it away, I am of course speaking about Firefox, Portable Edition.

This is a handy way of taking your own browser with you wherever you go. All you need do is download the software onto your memory stick. Depending on the options you choose this software only requires 27 - 77Mb. Continue reading Firefox in your pocket
