Yet another free WordPress theme has been released on this blog. The theme is called the AquaBlock Theme and it is indeed the theme currently in use on this blog.

The theme is not difficult to install or to customize to suit your needs but I thought it appropriate to include a few installation notes here.
The theme is installed in exactly the same way as all the other themes. Once installed please ensure that you have a look at the following:
- Open up the file header.php and change the following:
- In the Head section add the author’s name.
- In the Head section add the name of the copyright holder.
- In this same section add the comma separated keywords.
- You might also want to ensure that you have uploaded a favicon to your server.
- While you have this file open you might also want to give some attention to speeding up your blog.
- This theme is Gravatar enabled. If you plan to make use of this feature it would require registering yourself at Gravatar if you have not already done so.
- Next you would have to open up the file sidebar.php. In this file there are quite a few modifications you can make should you want to:
- If you are going to use Entrecard you will have to add the relevant code to this file.
- You will have to make the necessary changes to the About Box if you plan to make use of this feature.
- The popular posts feature on this theme is not run via a plugin. This feature allows you to get those great articles you wrote long ago out of the archives and give them a bit of publicity again. All you need to is to create a category called ‘popular’. You then select this category for whichever article you want to feature in this way. The sidebar will allow you to showcase up to three articles. This feature also requires that you add an excerpt to the relevant article. The excerpt is the piece that will be displayed.
- You will also have to open footer.php. Here you will have to give attention to the following:
- The copyright date.
- If you are using Google Analytics it would be a good idea to add the relevant code to this file while you have it open.
- The Theme is also ready for the wp_pagenavi and Relevant Posts plugins. All you need to is to activate these plugins in the normal way. The theme will handle the rest.
- That is all the changes you will have to make. Obviously you will want to add all those little things that will make the theme uniquely yours.
I hope you enjoy this theme. Should you require any support please feel free to post your questions at the support forum.

Looks very nice and clean. Only thing I don’t like is shade of green used. It looks watered even on white background at totally lost on gray. Bit better on CRT screen but worse on LCD one.

The green color is only used on the links. This makes it very easy to change to whatever you prefer as the change need only be made in one place in the stylesheet.
I really like how clean it is. I like the green and aqua colors, I’m really going to have to consider changing my theme.
Changing your theme on your blog is not a decision that should be taken lightly. I however, find that sometimes it is just what is needed to put that little spark back into blogging. Thanks for your comment.
I like this, Sailor! I will have to download it and give it a whirl on one of my blogs. It’s time for a change anyway LOL.
You’ve been very busy lately.
I’m still ready to help with graphics work.

I am afraid I have never used BlogSpot so I have no experience of it at all. If you or anyone else would like to convert the theme you would be more than welcome.
